Is Skinwallet Legit?
Skinwallet is one of the most popular marketplaces for selling digital goods from various Steam games, focusing mainly on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive skins. It's been running since 2016, and it's a legitimate business registered in Poland (the company's official name is Skinwallet SA). Moreover, it’s on a CS2 (CSGO) Trading Subreddit’s whitelist, which is a list of the most reliable marketplaces for CS2 (CSGO) skin trading.

The website runs on a valid Padlock (SSL) which means that the communication between the browser and the web server will be totally encrypted. When we tested the website, everything worked smoothly, and we didn't even have a moment of doubt that we were on some shady site; it's clear that Skinwallet's developers have really put a lot of work into the functionality of the site. Skinwallet is also pretty active on its social media accounts like YouTube or Twitter, where they gathered a good number of followers.
Speaking of their YouTube channel, one of their videos is called "How to Avoid Common CS2 (CSGO) Scams Like the API Scam?" and we have to say that it’s a really knowledgeable guide. It applies pretty much to every single skin market out there and might help you dodge a scammer.
Now that we know that Skinwallet is a legit skin market where gamers can do their online shopping — let’s find out if it’s worth it!

Reputation (5/5)
Skinwallet has some excellent reviews on their Trustpilot profile, which they boast of on their social media or FAQs. But well, there is a lot to be proud of, as they have countless opinions from really satisfied users — both buyers and sellers. People are often shocked that they can get instant cash on a CS2 (CSGO) marketplace, as it can take weeks on other websites.
Skinwallet is also listed on a CS2 (CSGO) Trading Subreddit’s whitelist thanks to its consistent performance for half a decade and the satisfaction of numerous traders. And if you look at their website traffic analysis on similarweb, it’s clear to see that their users really enjoy the website and like to come back there. All in all, Skinwallet has a great reputation, like many other great sites such as Buff Market or CS.Money.

Prices (4.5/5)
The owners of Skinwallet boast that on their website, you can often find game items cheaper by as much as 60%. How true is this statement? Well, we wouldn't go crazy with that 60%, but it's still looking good if we compare it to the prices from Steam markets and SkinCashier.
And, of course, it won’t beat every Steam price, but you can definitely save some money on your new game items.
There are no hidden fees (like on Z2U), and the price you see before you buy is always the final price. Skinwallet’s seller fee is 10%, which is actually not that bad compared to other marketplaces. Moreover, the website’s bot analyzes prices on the Steam market and shows you how much cash you can save when buying a specific item.
However, keep in mind that Skinwallet's bot ignores all the stickers you have on your skins when calculating their value so if you have any stickers, make sure they can impact the final price of the skin. For example: we received more money than on DMarket.

Items Variability (5/5)
As far as CS2 (CSGO) and Dota are concerned, the item variability aspect is doing great on Skinwallet. You can find absolutely everything here — from the newest items to really old skins that are hard to buy anywhere and that includes H1Z1 skins. It's offer is great, and easily comparable to that of SkinPort.
You should pay special attention to CS2 (CSGO) knives. While browsing the Skinwallet's offer, we came across some super rare patterns for not such a bad price. And you can even trade in your H1Z1 skins for CS2 (CSGO) skins.

User Experience (5/5)
As for the user experience, Skinwallet meets all the standards we would expect from the online skin market (unlike LootBear). The website is super easy to use, and its minimalist design is really eye-pleasing (although, you know, this is a subjective matter). While testing the website, we didn't encounter any lags, and we really like that division of skins into categories, which helps us find the item we're looking for.
Skinwallet is very accessible to new users, especially sellers. Even if you are not really into the skin economy but rather just a player who wants to turn your Steam inventory items into cash, you’ll still be fine.
The website’s bot will help you set the price of your items so that you can make as much money as possible on them.
It’s also worth noting that at the time of writing this review, Skinwallet supports 9 different languages.

Customer Support (4/5)
Customer support has been exactly the same since the beginning of the website; Skinwallet has not applied any additional features to it for 5 years.
But do you need any additional features? Well, live chat support would be nice, but we have to admit that their ticket system works pretty well. We got a response in just 10 minutes and looking at other users' reviews, that's what the typical wait time is for a response from Skinwallet's support.
Moreover, we have access to a helpful FAQ section, and that’s one of the current standards for skin marketplaces.
So, we have to remove one point from our rating for the lack of live chat support. However, since the rest of the features that are supposed to help us solve our problems work fine, we can't take away any more rating points.

Cashout / Payment Options (5/5)
As for the cashout methods, Skinwallet supports several options, but the most notable here would be PayPal, Tipalti, and Payoneer (like on Skin.Cash). Although PayPal is definitely the fastest option to withdraw our Skinwallet funds, additional fees make it less profitable. So while Skinwallet does have it (like Swap.GG and SkinBaron), there are better withdrawal methods.
In our opinion, you might want to consider using Tipalti, as it is the only commission-free withdrawal option on Skinwallet. Moreover, the average wait time for money using Tipalti is 6 hours, which is actually the same as PayPal and not that bad compared to other marketplaces.
And when it comes to payment options, we can sum it up in two words — G2A Pay. If you don't know what G2A Pay is, it is a modern payment gateway that enables as many as 250 payment methods! That said, you're sure to find an option that appeals to you.
